Nima Gorji was born in Teheran (Iran) in 1972. At the age of 13 he moved to Denmark. Having already a passion for music, he started to play in a local live band and decided to study in a music school. Very quickly he turns his attention to piano and synthesise ess. taking his inspiration from bands like Depeche Mode, the Cure and Erasure. In 1996, he moved to Copenhagen, and started to 0J in one of the well known night clubs “Rust". In 2000 he started the legendary “verydisco" night which was a huge success in Scandinavia until 2004. In 2005. Nima moved to Ibiza and took his residency at Space for the “What’s Up?” party. Since the past 4 years, Nima is touring as a DJ playing worldwide. In 2007 he was Nominated as best Ibiza Dj for the 10th Edition of Ibiza Dj Awards.

In 2007 he also launched his own label Welt Recordings, for digital releases only, with Charlotte Antoniades aka Madame Tina. In 2008, they extended the label with Welt Sounds for vinyl releases. The characteristic of Welt is an open-minded attitude in the choice of electronic music with no restrictions of genres. The only main point of the label is to seek for deep, warm and organic electronic underground sound. As a producer and DJ, Nina always sticks to his roots, creating magical hypnotic loops full of deepness as the Sufis were traditionally doing in the old Persia.
