The Smith Bros. have been DJ-ing for years, and now they have also become producers. Already they show their great potential with the “Oslo Sessions vol. 1”. They have simply put together a great compilation- album. The tracks have been selected due to their strength as a whole, which creates a rare synergy on the album. The beat-mix is outstanding, and takes the listener into a new beautiful soundscape track by track. Warm beats meet dreamy moods, and creates an atmosphere out of the ordinary. Not only is the selection of tracks remarkable, but the Smith Bros. also deliver two tracks of their own; “Snøbyen”, and “Vakre Sara & Den Onde Drage”. Both these tracks fit beautifully into the intro of the compilation, and sets a very high standard for the rest to follow. It is obvious that the Smith Bros. know their way around playing, making, and producing great music. As we hold our breath for their next production to be released, we kick back and enjoy “Oslo Sessions vol. 1”.
