Now we are proud to invite the veteran Thomas Schumacher who has produced with Elektrochemie & DJ T. and recorded for legendary labels such as Bush, Gigolo, Get Physical and his own Spielzeug Schallplatten. Schumacher is a true producers producer and we are sure these two distinctive orchestrations are sure to love up the dance every time. “Hot” is something that would come to mind if one heard the word 'Picanha', in passing. And without a doubt the main track 'Picanha' is hotter than a stolen Jalapeño in July. Precisely layered percussion, meticulously situated effects and drums tuned with minutiae detail are the backbone of this track, but the groove comes courtesy of the Schumacher Brass Orchestra. Well, maybe not a whole orchestra played by Thomas alone, but it does pump more spice and pep into the track than a bag of Mexican jumping beans! With such a scorching A-Side, one might need an oven mitt to get to 'Late Night Thing'. A late night safari through a forest teaming with the echoes of mammals in the trees creating swirling effects, insect-like shuffling high hats and rotund toms all rhythmically going "bump" in the night. Your only guide is a tweaked, warped and contorted male R&B vocal that does more to startle than comfort you through this semi-uncharted territory. Just when you think you’re lost and it is time to turn back; a warm and inviting chord spreads away the leaves and reveals an open stereo filled field festival of galloping percussion. Guess that guide knew where he was going after all. What a sizzling release from Thomas Schumacher, that just continues to solidify Get Digital as just a prominent label as its big sister, Get Physical.
