Featuring guest-vocalists Sitta Föhr (“Daylight”, “Soverato” & “Montreux”), Sharon Harris (“Pussycat”, “Acapulco 60” & “Capriccio”), New York Rappers Dread Event (“Hard 2 Survive” & “Mistaken Identity”), Ras Charmer (“So Fine”, “Brave&Bold Dub”), Cali P. (We are One”), Ras Theo (“Quaylude Slumber”) and Michael Morris (“Go:Disco”), the album shows the massive versatility of Zürich based producer, remixer and dj Robert Jan Meyer aka Minus 8. Wheras “Minuit” was pretty much brasil influenced, “Eclectica” draws a wider bow from Downbeat to Hip-Hop, to Disco, to Ragga and back with setting a high value on the different vocals. On top, it’s Switzerlands jazz-legend Kurt Weil playing the vibraphon on “Soverato”! The most diversified Minus 8-album so far and definitely one of the highlights of late 2004!
