Sascha Dürk (aka Bassface Sascha) truly is the one drum & bass pioneer in Germany. Back in 1991 he aroused in cooperation with Holger (Groover) Klein, a break-beat-hysteria in the Rhine-Neckar-area (radiating from the milk!-club in Mannheim) which soon reached Frankfurt (XS-club). just one year later, sascha played at the Mayday and it was the very first drum & bass set at a german megarave. Since then he has been playing all around the globe and has become an essential part of big drum & bass and techno-events like Love Parade, Rave City (Munich), Euphoria (Frankfurt), Meditation, Future Nights and (again) 1997 Mayday "Sonic Empire". In May 1997 he started his own weekly radio-show "Reload" on Evosonic radio and from January 1999 Sascha is going to do his own weekly show "Outbreak" on HR/XXL. He also appeared several times on MTV and VIVA as a guest VJ.

On Plastic City he mixed his unique sound together with real tech-house grooves and dark techno sounds. His experience together with his drum & bass roots gave the Kriss Dior sound a special und unique sound. During the first releases it was keepted as a secret that Kriss Dior is in reality Sascha Dürk. The promotion scattered the rumour that Kriss Dior is a young fresh producer from Texas (US). That also the answer of the question why the original cover from the single "KD Machinery" shows a pistol.
