Thirty year old Gui from Sao Paolo Brasil released "Arquipelago" on k2 relatively only a few weeks back, a tune many of you have gone on to acclaim as the best thing on the label so far. Licensed into the european market, courtesy of Mega music brasil, "Sozinho" opens in clipped readymade fashion, obligatory bugging afterburner techno, flecked with bleeps and a psychedelic top end development. Add splashy hats and a large noisy breakdown, and the result is inflammatory. "Noronha" is a touch more self conscious initially, but opens out eventually into a reliable, muscular but pliable throbber. Big one!!
