Costas C. aka Digital Alkemist is a natural born drummer brought up in a music family. That´s why he couldn't have chosen any other path in life but to get involved with music and consequently to study sound engineering, while practicing drums and music technology all along. He started playing drums for many rock bands in the underground scene of Athens during the 90s to land in behind the drum kit of the well known rock band of Nightstalker. He also plays the drums for Night On Earth and Blends' band called Blend Sextet with participation of members of other well known Athenian bands. Along with drumming he involved himself with DJing spinning, rock, hip-hop and later around '94 psychedelic trance. That was the time when he started some production experiments while his interest in electronic music was growing up inside.
After many years of listening and as his knowledge in music technology was expanding he thankfully got his very own home studio. His current freestyle music making has been the amalgamation of various influences ranging from jazz, breaks, d&b to latin and furthermore. In the meantime, he remixed tracks for the homemarket as well as abroad from bands like Echo Tattoo & Illegal Operation and artists like Blend, Saru, Timewarp Inc. and others. The first release of Digital Alkemist was on the "Electric Youth Experiment" compilation on Warehouse Records when he started flirting with the creation of psychedelic trance. He carried on with completely different productions for the labels like Shadow Records, Kriztal Entertainment, Dsofa and Mole Listening Pearls. In particular, his first release on Mole Listening Pearls reached #4 in the official German Club Charts (DDC). Along with the Digital Alkemist project he has been involved in other projects too, like Dots & Frames (Fictionary sound design in abstract edited movies of city and nature), and Sub Santa.
More than 7 years after his first big success with his debut single "Right Version Left" on Mole Listening Pearls, Digital Alkemist reports back with his brand new single "Um Novo Dia".
