In 2001, Nylon Discographics released the only album produced by the Brazilian-Portuguese duo Precyz (NylonCD003). It was Straight No Chaser’s album of the month and made it’s way to several dj playlists and compilations worldwide. After the Precyz project, Cyz (Cynthia Zamorano) went to Brazil to start working on her solo project. She traveled around Brazil and worked with a brilliant group of musicians, having recorded in studios in Recife, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The end result was hours of excellent quality material that she brought to Lisbon. She then handed them over to some of the most respected producers in the Portuguese electronic music scene. “LittleFishDubLongWaterSamba” is an excursion into the roots of Brazilian popular music with an “electronic charge”. Eleven tracks of contemporary music from Brazil, where traditional rhythms and genres are exposed to the urban sounds of the dub, break beat and drum’n’bass. Featuring the Brazilian Minister of Culture, Gilberto Gil, the singers Zeca Baleiro and Fred 04, the producer DJ Dolores and the roots singer D. Cila do Côco among many other excellent musicians. Five different producers worked on the album. The Shelter Av. duo, Miguel Guia and Tó Ricciardi who worked individually on this project, Pedro Passos from the Azóia project, the Fusionlab team and Mike Pachino, all contributed with their own skills and production talent. Born in Olinda near Recife in the region of Pernambuco in Brazil, Cyz has been living between Portugal and Brazil..
