Alex Flatner is one of the biggest all-rounders in Europe and has done a great job on Monoid Recordings. He completed this E.P. together with Stryke, remixes come from Dweed, Paul Mac and himself. „Baby loves to move“ is a chameleonic e.p. with different faces – as its creators. The groove has been running in Greg Stryke’s blood for 20 years and more and he is still shaping electronic dance music’s history as well. As the A&R of Circlemusic and Monoid Recordings Alex Flatner is at the front of innovative dance music.
A1.: „Baby likes to move“ combines clear percussions, harmonic vocals and a murder-bassline! Rhythmic chords are pushing the whole thing on. Stryke and Flatner have been working together for a longer – hopefully as harmonic as „Baby likes to move“.
B1.: “Paul Mac Rmx“ is starting at the end of the first track – concerning drive and hardness. The drums are turning the track into a big shaker u can’t slow down but contains more than hard stuff and energetic grooves. Deep harmonies and more highlights to come up in the second half of his remix. Paul Mac has a grand output and one can clearly „hear his handwriting“ but this track could easily come from southern France – no matter – great stuff!
B2.: “Flatner & Dweed Rmx“ is continuously drawing the bow and he’s creating melancholic sentiments, teetering hips and more by a really classic sounding remix of “Baby likes to move”. Flatner and Dweed did a great job by an arrangement sounding as if it would never stop rising. Later on the acid line is softly rounding off the groovy environment. Altogether great variety of styles and sounds brought together on one vinyl underlining the fact that techno is still evolving!
